Sliding door lock

Postby andy » Wed Apr 15, 2015 2:12 am

Hi guys
I have a 1989 Coastal 3300. I need a replacement lock for the sliding cabin / cockpit door. Does anyone know where I might obtain one?
I have emailed Wellcraft but they do not seem very interested in responding.
I'm in Australia but I'm happy to purchase from any location if it's the correct lock.
Thank you all in anticipation.
Andy

It is most likely a Mobella lock.
There are various websites that advertise Mobella replacement keys, i.e. Mobellakeys.com.
The three digit key code is typically stamped on the inside black plastic handle of the latches.
900 series boat keys are typically used on Wellcraft boats.

Hi,
I am having a similar problem. the lock on the sliding cuddy door on my 1987 portofino is missing.
It looks like is is just a round chrome button with a key slot. underneath is just a smaller hole in the frame.
I suspect you pushed it in to lock it and when keyed it would pop out.
Where can I find a full replacement?

Thanks
John

Hey, you may also want to look at eBay. I was able to find the lock assembly that I needed for my old Searay.
