New to me 330 Coastal
A bit about the boat. I purchased from a gentleman who hasn't used it the past two seasons and was on blocks at his property. I got it transported down near me so I can easily go over and do little projects. The boat surveyed ok, average wear and tear for the age, some issues, some upgrades. The biggest things that are at the top of my list before season starts in May are new batteries, water heater, generator repair, and main engine service (oil, plugs, filter, everything else). The genset is a Kohler 5E, we didn't start it at survey but previous owner stated that it runs fine, but after about 30 minutes you will see a sheen in the water near the exhaust. he claims piston rings. I consulted a nearby "dealer" who has over 10 years experience with Kohler marine gens, he disagrees and thinks its running too rich, a carb issue or maybe choke. Does anyone here have any experience with this model and have tips they can share?
From there, I have a laundry list of things I want to do to the boat to get it set up for tuna fishing and cruising/camping this year. So I'll be back as things come up.
