We're from Alberta, Canada. We just purchased a 1993 Eclipse 196 XL with a 5.0L V8 Mercruiser engine. First off, we love it! She needs a bit of TLC, the last owners didn't know much about boating, so her gel coat is chalky (I'm getting some product to rectify that this weekend) and there's a wee bit of wood rot in the very back bench seat because the cover they had was crap and she got wet. The rest is just minor cosmetic.
Anyone know if there's a manual available? Oldest I can find is from 1996 and it's not the same model, so not sure how accurate it is. Would love to know a bit more about this boat and ensure we are taking proper care of her. I'm sure we'll have her for a few years. My two daughters, hubby and I really enjoyed taking the boat out on the lake this weekend and were very impressed with how smooth she was in the water. My oldest wants to name her Emerald Phoenix.
