View the latest post 2002 Wellcraft 240 coastal parts

Hey, Just picked up a 2002 240 coastal. I wanted to replace/update some things and can't find anything Im looking for on the forums. I want to
1- Make my bimini into a full-enclosure and wanted to know if anyone has used a company that pre-fits them or uses a local canvas company?
2- Replace one of the fish boxes tops on my deck as its warped/peeling. Just the door part has to be replaced. Any replacement parts for this?
3- How much for a hard-top for this model boat and where could I get one?? :-O
4- Improve the seating so I wanted to customize some backings behind the captain and passenger chairs so people can sit comfortably.
5- Where could I get the cushions that go along the sides of the boat that people can lean against when fishing?

Any feedback is helpful. Goodluck cruising/fishing everyone.

View the latest post Wellcraft Coastal 290 cabin ceiling liner

Good afternoon, I'm a new of a 2000 Wellcraft Coastal 290 owner and new to this site. Hope you all don't mind my first post being a question!

The bow navigation lights, 2 of the three ceiling lights and my head ceiling light are not working. I know it not the bulbs, as I replaced the old bulbs with new ones. I'd like to inspect the wiring to make sure there are no breaks or is no corrosion, but I don't know if it's possible to take part of the ceiling liner down. It looks like it might, but I thought I'd ask here before I created a bigger problem for myself. Can the portion of the ceiling liner that appears to be removable be taken down with the ability to be put back in place?

Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to provide.

Have a great weekend!

View the latest post 2000 Martinique 3700

Converting to a Wellcraft owner. We really like the 3700 and I have seen a few engine options but the one we have found to be just what we are looking for has 7.4 Horizons V- Drive and not sure if that is going to be under powered. Looking to get on plane with ease with 6-8 people vs top end speed. Any thoughts?

View the latest post 290 Coastal Electrical to Windlass

Have a 2005 290 Coastal. Have had issues with the windlass (Maxwell Freedom 500) ever since I bought the boat a couple years ago. I figured it was just an old windlass..... When pulling anchor up, it sounds like it is struggling, I see the Voltage on my gauges drop, and if I pull too long without giving it a break, it pops the breaker. In shallow water, its not too bad, but if anchoring in 60 + ft of water for fishing its a real chore to get the anchor back up.

Finally getting around to replacing it, was going to go with the RC6-8. But as I started looking into it, I think my problem might be undersized cables to the windlass. It all looks original OEM, but cable is undersized per windlass manual. I only have AWG 4 cables. And when you add up the distance from the batter to switch, switch to windlass, windlass to neg terminal, neg terminal back to battery, its around 60'. the freedom 500 and the RC6-8 would need a min AWG 2 cable for that distance.

Anyone else had this issue? Or what size cable do you have on the 290 coastal to the windlass?
