Old water holding in one section under cabin floor

Hello fellow Wellcraft owners! I did a search and did not come up with any other context for this subject in this forum.
My 1998 23 WA; pulled up the table post holder from the floor in cabin and there was old water under it. Not toxic or anything, just did not make sense to me. The floor sections fore and aft are dry. Could not find a drain for this section into the sections fore or aft. I will probably pump it out tonight after work. What am I missing? Was this designed that way or did the factory forget to open a channel so this section would drain toward the back? Any help appreciated.

we have a v20 fisherman center console with the same business going on - we have twin 115hp and beefed up transom so this boat really does fly down the lake, so it never occurred to us that we were lugging around gallons and gallons of water - well, we drained off a lot last weekend and found all kinds of nasty sludge looking mud/dirt in the bilge area - we'll be cleaning this out over the next couple of days to see how our baby performs next weekend, without lugging around all that extra water - yay! if somebody has any special tips/tricks for getting the excess water out (besides the obvious, run the bilge pump and tilt boat up in driveway for excess water to drain out) - that would be good to know, just in case there really is a cavity in the hull where water is getting trapped...??

Did anyone ever find a solution to the cabin water issue? I just bought the same model 1998 23WA and have the same issue. I can't find any drain holes from the cabin to the forward bilge for any water to drain to the pump. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have water also below my cabin floor(1990 St Tropez)
My mechanic thinks the bilge pump isn’t working but why is the water brown ?is it from the shower that’s backed up?

I have a 2000 290 Coastal that I found water in a dry storage compartment under the table base. Did find my hot water tank
was leaking, but that should have went into the lower bilge. Will keep an eye out and post if I find anything else.

We have a ‘87 St Tropez and had water under the cabin and the Bildge pumped it out. Our new problem is we cannot get the automatic bildge to pump the water out of the boat. Our boat is also listing to the starboard side and we cannot figure out why. The water tank does have water I it and we have 15 gallons of gas on the starboard side. If we fill up the port side with gas does anyone think the listing will go away?

Ck your stringers, see if still solid or water logged hollow sounding

All boats have a little water in the bilge. Your St. Tropez has two bilge pumps. If the fuel tanks are full, the water will collect more aft and the aft bilge pump will take care of it. In any event, taking the boat out for a ride will bring the bow up, all bilge water will run aft and be pumped out. You will not get out every drop as bilge pumps do not have check valves and some water will run back when the pump shuts off. Just make sure that both pumps are working by lifting both float switches by hand and that the limber holes
(Holes in the bilge between bulkheads and stringers) are not clogged.

Yes, the bilge water might get a little brown looking. No big deal. Use some automatic bilge cleaner, or spray the bilge with a hose, use soap and water, then take the boat for a ride to get ride of it.

It is normal for your St. Tropez to list a little to starboard. The dinette, galley, refrigerator, helm station and hot water tank are all on that side. When running, use the trim tabs to keep the boat level.

15 gallons of gas in a 90 gallon tank? Running both engines off that one tank? That's like running on fumes. I seldom let my tanks get below 30 gallons per tank which presents as 1/4 on the gas gauges. So fill up each tank equally and set the fuel petcocks so each engine runs off its own tank. As mentioned above, don't worry about listing a little when the boat is docked but use the trim tabs to level the boat when running.
