Excell?

Postby es4e » Thu Aug 14, 2014 7:28 am

Hello everybody. I just bought a 1996 Excell 24ft. I can't find the forum for this model here. I have a question. Does anybody knows why there are 2 gas caps on the left rear side??? One of these ones is connected to the gas tank but the other has the hose hanging inside and it is not connected to anywhere... :-O

That sounds dangerous, dont put gas in that one, are you missing a water tank or black water tank pump out, white hose would be something for water

Hi,

New member here, just saw your post and even though it's quite old, I figured I'd post a reply anyhow.

On my 2-stroke, that fill cap covers the fill for the 2-stroke oil canister for my automatic oil injection system. If you have been re-powered to a 4-stroke, that cap will mostly just be bling. Or, many owners lost faith in the boat's automatic oil injection system for one reason or another and have since taken to pre-mixing their oil/gas at each fill.
