PROP LOCK

Alpha 1. Gen 1. Replaced and adjusted shift cable. Everything tested ok, ie ...in Forward, prop locks when spun counter clockwise. Opposite same for Reverse. My question==when in Forward, if I try to spin prop in CLOCKWISE direction, it makes a rather loud clicking noise, same opposite in Reverse. Is this normal??? Don't want to break something when I start it. Thanks in advance. d.

UPDATE. After checking w several local Marine Shops, it appears this is normal, as long as it spins freely in both directions when in Neutral. Will really know when we water test it.
