Coastal 232 Bow Eye

Hi... I have a 2006 Wellcraft Coastal 232. I need to replace the bow eye but can’t seem to find anything quite the right size. Does anyone know the manufacturer of the original bow eye? Thanks in advance for your help!

Since Wellcraft went out of business on 2008 all of there product information seems to have disappeared with them, the best thing to do now is to pull the bow eye off and start trying to match it up with something. The people who make glasstron boats bought the wellcraft name but nothing else those of us with pre 2008 boats have a ruff time finding parts

Thanks CptBill... I’m in New Zealand which makes sourcing suitable hardware a bit more difficult. Nothing locally available is large enough. I’ve removed the original 1/2” bow eye and it’s no problem finding a replacement the same thickness of a suitable length, but the ctr spacing of 2” is almost impossible. I’ve ordered an Epco one with 1 7/8” ctr and will make it work...

Did you ever get the Bow Eye for your 2006 Coastal?
I just got a 2010 Coastal . Does yours have the batteries under the stair to the Cuddy? There is a plug behind the batteries that I can't figure out. Do you know what that is for?

2010 Coatsal was made by a different Co. than an 06. Does that plug connect to the battery charger by chance? a lot of boats (all makes)under 26' don't come with battery chargers and most boats have the battery chargers added by the dealer

The plug I'm referring to is not an electrical plug. I mean a rubber plug located behind the batteries that is screwed into the floor. I assumed it was/is there to drain water away from the batteries. But when I unscrewed it, water came pouring out. It was full of water down there. Had to disconnect and remove one of the batteries and get all that water out of there. Boat is on a trailer, not in the water. Does this boat have two separate Bilges? Did they really do that? And didn't put a way to drain the forward bilge? Whomever made this boat?

Wow that's a weird one, of Corse any thing is possible, there really should be small drain holes or passages from bow to stern. It's not some kind of fresh water storage tank that someone created or something one that line is it? It's also possible that maybe the drain hole never got cleaned out. There's no thru hull in there is there? Please let us know what you find

Also I will tell you on my 270 there's a bulge pump in the aft cabin right behind the fresh water tank and somehow that tank does not sit all the way down in the bulge and has absolutely nowhere to drain. If I put water in my anchor line locker it drains to the bulge but nothing from around the tank

Picture of the plug behind the batteries. I took a few gallons of water out of the cavity under that plug. I am really curious how water would get down there to begin with. And since water does get under there, there really should be a way to keep it dry. This battery compartment is under the step down into the cuddy.
