Windshield Screw Cover 196 Eclipse 90

Postby Strandtiger » Tue May 05, 2020 11:28 am

Hi Guys,
I need help. I have completely rebuilt an Eclipse 197 cy 90.
Unfortunately I am missing the screw covers of the windshield.
Here in Germany nobody can, or doesn't want to help me ...
Since I don't know what the profile looks like, I don't know what to look for.
Taylor can't tell me anything about that.
Wellcraft does not answer ..
Would any of you have a photo of the rubber profile?
Or can you tell me where I can order them?
We are looking for the covers for the sides and front
Best regards Stefan

If your talking about the rubber filler at the base of the windshield then I'll give you this advice, measure the opening then start looking on the web for weather strips or sealing strips. Over here some of or go to places for that stuff are Great lakes Skipper and McMaster-Carr. All your trying to find is something that will fill the gap, finding original is not going to happen with a 30 year old boat. Wellcraft went out of business in 2008 and the name only is what was bought by another Co. so those of us with pre 2008 Wellcraft spend a lot of time trying to find the right stuff

Thank you, of course I measured.
I have already bought and tried some things here, but nothing was right.
Therefore, a picture of the profile would make the search much easier, or I could have it made
