1980's spyder 26

Postby Velita » Mon Jul 13, 2020 11:32 am

Hello Guys,

Can anyone tell me the pro's and con's of the Spyder 26. What engine package is the best? 454's or 350's. What should I look out for in regard to structural problems etc. Are they good in rough water?. I am about to purchase a 1987 with 350's, only one engine is original. The boat looks very clean, red, new trailer, new interior. 10k for all. Any help would be really appreciated.

350's will work just fine in that size boat, as what to look for stringers and transom

Thanks,

Engines are 350's chevy crate mercruiser engines with Alpha 1 drives. I am sending a surveyor to look at the boat, I am in RI and the boat is in Delaware. I would hope he would find any major issues. I will keep you posted. Thanks
