1986 2900 Sportbridge… Hello to all

Greetings everyone. Just purchased her about two months ago. Very good deal, as a jackstand put a hole in her hull. Pretty much completed with that repair (epoxy/glass). Taking lots of pics. Would love more info on these boats. Will probably have lots of questions. First time with closed loop cooling system, and dealing with those now. Heat exchangers look good (so far). Had to replace wooden rudder support beam. It was rotten, from overflowing icebox/live well (whatever that compartment is). It filled up with rain water, and continuously overflowed onto the beam, which does not seem to be constructed with water in mind. Easy repair/replacement, completed. Duel 5.7 L inboards (they run). Anyway, don’t want to make my first post too long. Anybody have one of these boats? Any questions that I can help with? Thank you for listening, and thank you for the forum!

Lol… not sure I like the sound of that! She seems to be in pretty good shape. I will be happy to send some pictures, as soon as possible. I have a few, just need a little time this evening to send them. Thank you for your reply.

Guess I won’t be doing that from my phone again. Many pictures that I did not select seem to have been “selected“. Anything I could do about all the advertisements?? Goodness. I dare not share this post with my elder family members, as I don’t think they will know how to navigate through all the ads!

Anyway, apologies for the number of pictures attached, and the fact that some are not even rotated properly. Funny thing is, they are oriented properly in my phone. So, in those pictures you can see her general condition. You can see the rotten beam that we rebuilt and replaced. That was not one of the intended pictures, but there you have it. Some pictures of the new beam are also attached. They were not intended either. Only was supposed to be exterior of hull, and interior cabin pics. Certainly glad it didn’t dump my entire photo album here!

Guess not a very active group these days. Thanks for "listening" to me ramble a little. Probably used to be a wealth of knowledge and info here, but like everything... FB or iBoats seems to be where everybody is gravitating. See you there!

Thanks for the pics. Other than the minor hole in the hull she looks to be in pretty good shape Bet you'll have her back on the water in no time

Thank you very much! Hole is but a memory. I have pics of the progress made on that. Will post here again soon. Maybe traffic will pick up. Trying to figure out the closed cooling system right now. Lots of sediment buildup under the thermostat, that is a bit confusing. Put it in another group for some help. Guess I can put it here, and see if anyone can help. Thanks again.
