Hello!

Postby Lindy08 » Wed Jul 13, 2022 1:09 pm

Hello fellow Wellcraft enthusiasts! I've had my 1995 Wellcraft 196 SS Eclipse "Party On" since about 2011. It's been fantastic with very few issues. Has the Mercruiser 5.0L and that baby runs strong. Normal service, nothing crazy. Mostly cruise and party cove it.

Last summer I went to get it out of storage and to my horror an animal (most likely a relatives "pet" raccoon decided to make this boat its winter home.) The front seating area was completely destroyed. All stereo wiring & spark plug wires were chewed through. A total disaster. So much so that I actually thought about scrapping my beloved boat.

Well, she just came back from the upholstery guy & the detailer and I'm very pleased how it turned out. Yes I'd rather have the original interior still in it, but, truth be told, its a blessing in disguise. The original interior was still in the boat and was needed some work done anyway. 26 years out of the first interior wasn't too bad :)

Anyway, I look forward to getting some more info in the coming future from the forum as there are a few things I'd like to take care of myself.

Thanks!
Cliff
