View the latest post Running internal electronics on AC power

I just purchased a 1998 Wellcraft Martinique and cannot figure out how to run the internal electronics on AC shore power. All of the lights and even the air-conditioning wants to run off of the starboard engine battery which drains is fairly quickly. I have tried every option I could think of with the circuit board. There must be a way to run directly from AC. I must be missing something and the manual is no help.
Thanks
Jay

View the latest post V-berth curtain removal

It looks like to get the curtains down that separate the v-berth from the rest of the cabin, you just remove one of the screws at the end which holds the track in place and bend it down slightly to allow the curtains to slide out. Is this correct? It almost looks like the curtains snap into the carriers, but upon closer inspection it does not appear to be a snap at all. I need to take the curtains out and have them cleaned.

View the latest post Pressurized Water System

I'm a new owner of a 2000 Wellcraft 2400 Martinique. Just wanted to validate what I think is happening is correct behavior. There is a "Head" / "Shower Sump Pump" DPDS switch in the head that operates the vacuum generator when it is in the "Head" position. When in the "Head" position, it also runs the fresh water pressure system and water flows to the sink in the head, the shower and the sink in the galley. My question is, is there a way to pressurize the water system without turning on the vacu-flush vacuum generator, or is that the way it is supposed to work? Perhaps there is a sensor that shuts off the vacuum generator when it reaches some level, but mine seems to run continuously when that switch is on. Any info you all have would be greatly appreciated. This subject is not detailed in the manual I have and wanted to verify what is supposed to happen before I start tearing into things. Thanks in advance!

View the latest post Hi Everyone!

I'm Kat. We are adding to the fleet! Our flagship is a beautiful '74 Trojan F-32. Our newest addition is a 1987 St. Tropez 3200. Love it so far. Repairs being made: The vinyl strips behind the co-captain's chair have peeled off and the wood rotted away. Noisy fridge needs repair or replaced and the white vinyl walls inside are stained/spotted brown and yellow. Also need to figure out how to work the head. Other than that, everything checks out. I'm super excited. I just don't know how every time we purchase a boat, it's near the end of the season, just in time to button her up for next April.

How can I quiet the noisy Norcold fridge? It's enough to keep people awake at night.

Hello forum. I'm Chad. Owned a 248 sportfisher since 2002 with a 250 Yamaha OX-66 powering it. I use it primarily for diving, but do a bit of fishing from time to time.

Good to be a member of the group.

View the latest post Excell?

Hello everybody. I just bought a 1996 Excell 24ft. I can't find the forum for this model here. I have a question. Does anybody knows why there are 2 gas caps on the left rear side??? One of these ones is connected to the gas tank but the other has the hose hanging inside and it is not connected to anywhere... :-O

View the latest post Cleaning Stained Vinyl inside Cabin

How would one remove the brown stains from the interior vinyl? I've been hearing good things about Magic Eraser followed by a vinyl cleaner/protectant (ArmorAll, I guess). Any thoughts?
