View the latest post Attachment(s) Wire mess!

What a dang mess. Most of the wires are not connected to anything, the wire harness from the gauges is trashed, trying to find a new one. Once I get this mess cleaned up and operating then it's to the back of the boat and do the same thing. It's an 88 coastal 210. Seems hard to find parts for!

View the latest post Gas Tank vacuum

My '05 252 Coastal has what may be an issue, idk... I've been restoring her since she sat up for 12 years. One obvious chore was to suck out all the old gas. While I was doing this using a hi-flo fuel pump the tank built up a vacuum. I heard it buckle after about 20 gals were pulled out so I opened the gas filler cap and heard it suck air. So am I right in assuming the vent is clogged? Where the heck is the vent? Is it that little splash fitting just under the gas cap? The reason I ask is because I put some pressure in there and WATER CAME OUT of the thru-hole just below it! Maybe I need to suck the water out of the vent using a shop vac? I don't want to damage anything but maybe sucking out the water is a good idea ??? idk really!

View the latest post Aft leaning pads - 252 Coastal

Anyone selling the three leaning pads for the inside gunnels for a 252 Coastal? If I find an upholstery shop that will do the work, I'll go that way but I can't find anyone near central SC to recover them... yet.

View the latest post Wellcraft 252 Coastal in SC

Picked up a Wellcraft 252 Coastal that was sitting up FOR 12 YEARS. :-O She's coming together! Got her cleaned up, took off a Yamaha F300 HPDI that was locked up and stuck that engine on eBay. Picked up a 2021 Suzuki DF300AP in FL with 4 yrs of warranty left on it to get it to plane good. ;-) Had to suck out 90 gallons of 12 yr old gas yesterday... decent enough to use in a lawn mower as I've found so far! Yeah there was water in the tank too but... it ALL came out and the TANK is GORGEOUS on the inside! That was a WOW for sure. Going with minimal Garmin electronics for now until I give her a year on the water: Lake Murray, Charleston SC area and possibly FL when possible. VERY glad to have found this site as the Wellcraft company is no more. Thanks to the admins for keeping up a GREAT SITE. Cheers! -Capt Garry Coats, Lake Murray in South Carolina http://www.dolphinchartersllc.com

View the latest post Attachment(s) New member from Ohio

Hi, new member here. Bought a ‘93 Eclipse 196S bowrider last summer. Used it for the summer and then started a full rebuild on it last fall. Floor is currently out. Transom and stringers are next. Debating whether to put in a new motor. Has a 5.0 Merc with only ~500 hours but thinking I’ll swap it for a Merc 350 vortec.
