View the latest post Attachment(s) 2002 Martinique 3000 Windless problem

I need a few questions answered please, my Windless anchor is not working in the up or down positions. By the switch on the helm or by the foot switched on the bow, All I hear is a clicking sound when I do depress the buttons? I have located the (Maxwell PM Solenoid Pack - 12V SP5102) that reverses the polarity to the windless behind the Breaker box in the cabin. My questions are: Question # 1 How do you access the Windless from the cabin area at the bow of the boat? Does the mirror have to come off to access the wires on the windless, and is their a compartment door that has to be opened?
Question #2, How do I test the (Maxwell PM Solenoid Pack - 12V SP5102) that is behind the breaker panel to make sure it is working properly? I know it has to be a 2 person operation because the locations of the switches. Thanks in advance for your help!

View the latest post Buying 2002 24' WA w/ '05 merc 4 stroke outboard

Hello,

Brand new to boating, never owned or rented one, drove a boat once. I usually am an impulse buyer but with this boat search I have taken my sweet time ( about 5 months lol). I knew I was interested in a cuddy and almost fell into the newby trap of a bayliner i/o cabin cruiser. The old guys at the boat club I joined told me I must stay away from i/o, especially if I will be keeping my boat in the hot salty florida water.

Wellcraft seems to be the ticket for a cuddy with outboard engine. Found a 230 coatsal but it had original Evinrude engine on it so I passed. Now looking at a '02 24' WA with an '05 merc (yamaha) o/b on it with very low hours. I have a mechanic check the engine out completely and check the hull out. He says engine is great but he would recommend servicing fuel injection system due to the low hours on an '05 motor.

Repairs needed: Bilge pumps not working ($375), fresh water pump not working ($480), vacuflush toilet not working (TBD), trim tabs not working ($600), gel coat has spider cracks all over (~$4,000ish /live with it), fish box & waste tank macerator pumps ($760) and seals for trim & steering cylinders ($525).

Any opinions/advice would be greatly appreciated!!

View the latest post Transom material

I have a 2000 Wellcraft Martinique 2400 with a Volvo Penta 5.0L duo prop I/O. My question is, does anyone know for certain if there is wood in the transom? There seems to be very vague information about when Wellcraft stopped using wood in the transom construction. I am getting a bit of water in the aft bilge and one local boat mechanic suspects rotten wood in the transom. The various rubber boots associated with the outdrive were replaced about a year ago and seem to be in great condition. Sitting at anchor, I can hear water running into the bilge. After about 5 minutes or so, there is enough water to cause the automatic bilge pump to run. I'm hoping that rotten wood is not the problem as that would be about a $3500 repair to replace the transom. Any suggestions about what else to look for?

View the latest post Radio wiring help

I bought a used 210 coastal and a bunch of the radio wires wires weren’t connected. I was able to find the hot and ground wires, but I don’t know what to connect the accessory wire to. I have the boat wiring diagram but nothing says accessory. Please help.

Thanks.
