87 St. Tropez with 5.7`s Not much room to remove old senders. Does anyone have a easy way to do this? will the old one have enough room to remove without moving the tank. I heard some people cut out a hole in the decks to do this and put a access panel in place. ugh....

My father is looking at a new 202 Fisherman. He wondering if it would fit in his garage. Length shouldn't be a problem. It's the height that might be an issue. He does fortunately have an 8' high garage door. The specs online say the total height on the trailer is 8' 8". With the tower it's 10' 1". Can anyone verify the 8' 8" height? I assume that measurement would be to the top of the windshield?

I know there are differences in Marine and Automotive Engines and I know what those important reasons are, but I am curious as to what the automotive equivalent is to the 3.0L 181ci 4cylinder Mercruiser Engine is.
I know its a GM Motor, but cant seem to find one that matches up by any GM years, makes, or models.
Anyone here know?
I recently just replaced my starter on this and did so with the proper marine rated starter, but was curious as to what the cost would have been using the automotive one.
I also tend to need to replace the starter relay frequently and want to see if there is a difference in the marine or auto version.

I'm a new guy on here. I have an 89 Eclipse 186 that I've been putting back together. New engine is in it and taking it on the lake for the first time tomorrow. Just looking forward to learning more about these boats and maybe help on finding parts.

View the latest post Attachment(s) Wellcraft 160 CCF Trolling Motor Install
Wanted to share my Minn Kota Riptide Terrova I-Pilot Link trolling motor installation. If anyone is looking to install a trolling motor on their 160 ccf this may be helpful to them. Note: I had to make a homemade mounting plate for the install to work good. I used 1/2" aluminum for the top plate and 1/4" aluminum for the backing plate. Other thicknesses or materials could have been used... it was just scraps we had lying around. We did powder coat the plates using a harbor freight powder coating machine and used stainless steel hardware to mount it. Put a little clear flex tape between the homemade mounting plate and the hull ust for a little protection. Anyway... hope this might help someone else with their install.

Hello. I have a 1998 coastal 240. For whatever reason, when either docked or moving, the boat has a list to the starboard. There is no visible water in the transom, and it lists even after I run the bilge until dry. Looking for something that I may be overlooking. I recently purchased the boat, so I haven't had it out of the water yet to inspect the hull bottom, which will take place in October.
The boat doesn't appear to be getting worse, does not take on an unusual amount of water, and does not have a freshwater system. Thank you.
