View the latest post New Guy 1996 Excel 23SE

Hi all. I just bought my first powerboat. A 1996 Wellcraft Excel 23SE. I've taken her out a couple of times so far and I've been super happy. I grew up with small sailboats and cats, but none had a motor. I just "finished" a 1969 TR6 (at least until I drive it again) so I needed something else to play with, and my wife wanted a boat. I think this is going to be fun.

View the latest post Martinique 2600 New Zealand - leaking AFT

Hi All,

Very happy to find this group. I’m in New Zealand, recently bought a Martinique 2600 - 1999. To refurbish as a project. The fibreglass is buffing up well from heavily oxidised to a near new shine. Im using G6 compound with a wool pad variable speed polisher. After heavy rain I’ve noticed that that two bed AFT area carpet is saturated, located port side to the rear of the boat. Has anyone experienced this issue and found where the leak coming from? Thanks Matt

View the latest post new Martinique 3700 owner

Wife and i had discussed buying a condo at the shore for about 3 years but because it is 3 hours drive away, we have 4 cats that dont travel and cost we just held off. I have a 22' Sea Ray and went to look at a river slip and my wife said "I WANT A BIGGER BOAT". Did not open my mouth and started looking that afternoon. Found a 37' Wellcraft Martinique 3700 and fell in love. Will take ownership next week. The boat is indeed a floating upscale condo in the water. Plans are to use it like a condo for a getaway but go fishing and cruisin as well. Wish we had more 3700 members but am glad to listen, read and help when i can.

View the latest post 1985 210 Elite

Hello All,

New to this forum and the boat community in general. I picked up a 1985 (manufactured in 1984) WellCraft 210 Elite with a 260 Mercruiser SN: A309941/ Rochester Quadrajet Carb (17080561- 2364), from my boss for $500 ( Bartered labor hours with him instead of cash so basically no money out of pocket yet........). Not sure what kind of shape the stringers are in the floor is mosly solid with a few softer spots near the lower sleeper section entry ( its been left outside uncovered for about 5 years so who the hell knows. Charged both batteries up and was just going through some tests make sure electrical components work. It seems like the trim system is working up and down (thank god he had a ratchet strap under the out drive to support it all those years).all the elictrical seems to be working motor turns over but havent got around to changing oil/ fuel filters yet. also havent got around to filling it up with fuel either(didnt know if i needed to flush to the tank or what). Supposedly he had tooken it out at some time said everything was fine exept the fact that the bilge pump had to stay on to keep pumping water out due to leak somewhere he says it was in the outdrive seal im not to familiar with the setup. Im trying to find some sort of information on this boat, like a service manual or even an owners manual for that matter. Starting to think one does not exist but thats hard to believe. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would at least get me going on were to start with this thing.

View the latest post Attachment(s) 88 Portofino 4300 Front A/C

1988 Portofino 4300 - Can anyone tell me where the water intake, raw water filter and pump are for the front berth ac unit. Just getting a trickle flow out of the thru-hull discharge when I turn on the unit. The ac is under the bed on the port side and I can see the inlet and outlet hoses for the unit but they go through a hole. Don't see the inlet line in any of the other floor access points. Thanks.

View the latest post Metal shavings in bilge?

The lanyard to my oil drain hose broke so I stuck a magnet in to try to find the bloody thing and ended up pulling out a tablespoon or so of fine metal shavings.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
Boat runs strong, no metal in oil, changed every season.
