View the latest post New from ohio

Hello everyone! My names Paul and I'm from ohio. I purchased a 1987 wellcraft classic 170 late last year and have been so busy with work, I didn't get it into the water until yesterday.

It wasn't a good first trip, as I had several concerning things happen. The boat died out on the water and I had to get pulled in by a fellow boater and then swim the boat to the launch. My brother put the prop down while I was swimming it in and I didn't double check before pulling the boat out. There's no visible damage and was only dragged about a foot, but I'm not sure that something could have been damaged internally or where I can't see it. Lastly, I hit a bump at a high enough speed that the force snapped the teeth off of the winch and released the strap and I could see the boat bounce off the trailer and slide about a foot back.

Everything looks to be in good shape, lessons learned, but my new to me boat has me worried! Going to try to get it running in the driveway after work tomorrow but it's likely going to a mechanic. I don't want to get stranded again and while I trust my mechanic skills, I'm not to familiar with carburetors or boats. I hope to change that with all of the good info here, thanks for having me.

Does anyone know a way to remove the oil pan from a 1995 3200 Martinique with the 454 mercruiser motor without pulling the motor out?

View the latest post Attachment(s) Hi all! Wellcraft 222 Elite project in Norway

Recently got my hands on an '88 Wellcraft 222 Elite, and had to strip everything. Except from the hull itself, everything was rotten. Now I am in need of a whole lot of parts, but Wellcraft don't seem to think there is any point of replying to owners and customers.
Does anyone know where to get a hold of canvas (not bimini-top) for example camper top or t-top/mooring top? I am pretty much customising the rest.

View the latest post Identifying wood construction

Hey there new to the place and loving it so far lots of knoledge here. :notworthy: Anyhow, I wanted to get some opinions on this boat i am set to see this weekend. Its a 2000 wellcraft 22ft walkaround with a 2001 evinrude 200 hp. My question is if the boat has wood free construction? or is the deck wood? or transom? The owner told me its wood free but i wasnt sure what the extent of it was. Im looking for something free of wood on hull and transom as i am tired of rot from my previous boats. I understand they can be more sturdy and better ride but this is 100% the route i am aiming to go. So if anyone has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
Here are some pics for what she looks like :

View the latest post Hello all new member here and proud owner of 1987 190 classic

Last summer I found her on a online yard sale watched the add for months. She needed a lot of work but she was calling my name . I finally talked the miss into us getting the boat took several months of late nights and early mornings to get her sea worthy but it was well worth it. I'm a big fan of the mid to late 80's welcraft there hauls are solid and sharp looking. I will start post pics in the right link later just wanted to give a hello and a short summary of the project. Btw had her on the river last Sunday she ran great

View the latest post Forward/Aft Bilge Switch

I have a 2000 Marinique 2600 .I am currently trying to work my way through some issues regarding the forward/aft bilge switch.
I have decided to replace the switch due to the fact the old one was bad however I also now realize I do not have power at the switch for the forward bilge pump. I have yet been unable to physically locate the forward bilge pump. Any help regarding these issues would be much appreciated...
